Hi Caroline. Thank you for the reply. Your observation about the group’s name and why it may have hindered their broader popularity is spot on. After the group matured, changing their name might have benefited them. After all, who would think to give a listen to grown men in their 30s and 40s called the “Beach Boys”? Despite their name, their ability to translate the California spirit and lifestyle into song is remarkable. Thank you for the supporting vote, “Beach Boys, second best rock band of all time” If you haven’t heard the albums, “Holland” or “Surfs Up”, I’d highly recommend giving a listen.
